Two New Advisors Join The Center

The Center welcomes Norwalk resident Dr. Jeanette Trujillo and Stamford resident Gene Waggaman.  Dr. Trujillo is joining The Center as a clinical psychology advisor, providing clinical supervision to its counseling staff.  Dr. Trujillo provides psychotherapy services that help individuals whose daily functioning has been impaired by the experiences of very difficult situations.  She specializes in the areas of sexual abuse, trauma, domestic violence, crisis intervention and related disorders.

She began her career as a probation officer working with individuals struggling with addiction and sexual abuse.  She later worked with the Florida Department of Corrections.  Today, in addition to servicing clients through her private practice, she is the Regional Supervising Psychologist at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.

A licensed psychologist in the states of CT and NY, Dr. Trujillo holds a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Tampa, FL.

The Center also welcomes Stamford resident Gene Waggaman to its Board of Directors.  Mr. Waggaman brings an extensive mix of corporate management insight, financial acumen, and community service experience to The Center.

With a hands-on approach to helping, Mr. Waggaman has assisted numerous Fairfield County community organizations. In addition to The Center, he is currently a board member of  FUTURE 5, a Stamford-based non-profit whose mission is to connect low-income high school students to the world and their futures. Previous community service experience includes Board Chair of Domus Foundation, president of Stamford Youth Soccer League, board chair of the Council of Churches and Synagogues, and chair of Outreach for the First Congregational Church of Greenwich.

He is currently owner of privately-held Advantage America Paperboard, and is a member of the board of advisors for David S. Lapine Company.  Previously, he served as senior vice president  for Price & Pierce International, CEO of Perkins-Goodwin Company, and vice president of Atlantic Kraft Corporation.
